If you need an expedited new passport book within 10 days, here are the steps you should follow:
Urgent Travel Service (2-3 Weeks):
- If you are traveling internationally within the next 2-3 weeks, you can choose this service.
- Schedule an appointment at a passport agency (Los Angeles or San Diego) within 14 calendar days of your travel date.
- If you’ve already applied, call 1-877-487-2778 to schedule an appointment within 5 calendar days of your travel date.
Expedited Service (Less Than 8 Weeks): $82.05
- Use this service if you are traveling in less than 8 weeks from the date you submit your application.
- Expedited service takes 3-5 weeks.
- You can expedite at an acceptance facility or expedite a renewal by mail.
- Note that mailing times are not included in processing times.
Emergency Service (Less Than 3 Days):
- Choose this service only for life-or-death emergencies requiring international travel within 72 hours (3 business days).
